Channel Guide

Slack Etiquette
Section titled “Slack Etiquette”- Use threads to keep channels tidy
- Use
@channeland@heresparingly — never before 9 AM or after 5 PM - Answer in public channels, not DMs, so others can learn
- Status: set to 🏝️ when on vacation, 🤒 when sick, 🎯 when in deep focus
Core Working Hours
Section titled “Core Working Hours”9:00–15:00 — everyone should be available for meetings and questions during these hours.
Outside core hours, respect async communication. No expectation of immediate response.
Meeting Culture
Section titled “Meeting Culture”- Standups: 15 min max, async updates preferred
- 1-on-1s: 30 min weekly with your manager
- Retros: 60 min every 2 weeks
- Always share an agenda beforehand
- End 5 min early to give people a break between meetings
